Supplier money protection guide
The platform never touches your money — payments are not live yet, and once they are, every riyal is held via a licensed payment gateway
How does the escrow work once payments go live?
Once payments go live: on purchase, the amount is held via a licensed payment gateway in a neutral intermediary account — and is released to the supplier only when the buyer confirms receipt, or 48 hours after a delivery the supplier recorded with no objection, and after the supplier uploads its invoice. Neither the platform nor the supplier can withdraw it before then.
The riyal’s journey — from the buyer to you
1
The buyer orders the part
They pick the part and press “Buy now” — and are taken to the payment gateway once payments go live
2
Once payments go live, the amount is held
Once payments go live: the amount stays held until the buyer receives, via a licensed payment gateway
3
The supplier ships the part
Once payments go live: good packaging, then shipping the way the supplier chooses and recording the delivery with a photo in their dashboard
4
The buyer inspects the part
Their objection within 48 hours of delivery stops the release and keeps the amount held once payments go live — and their return right within 7 days of receipt stands either way
5
The buyer confirms receipt
When the buyer confirms they received the part
6
Once payments go live, it is released to you
Once payments go live: the amount stays with the payment provider until the customer confirms receipt or 48 hours pass after a delivery you recorded with no objection, then is released to you net of commission once you upload your invoice. Payout to your bank account is enabled when payments go live.
What if a dispute happens?
The buyer opens a dispute within the inspection window with photos and evidence
The Qitaa mediation team reviews the case (photos, description, chats)
If the part does not match the description: the buyer gets a full refund via the payment gateway once payments go live
If the part matches: the amount is released to the supplier as usual once payments go live
